The couple's relationship has always been a little secretive, and their wedding was no exception. According to People, Roberts invited visitors to her New Mexico ranch for an Independence Day party on July 3, 2002, only for the two to marry the next day. Roberts was "genuinely pleased," a longtime friend told the publication at the time, and the two had "promised to take care of one other." And they've done just that.
On July 4, 2021, 19 years after their wedding, the "Pretty Woman" star reaffirmed her love for Moder and demonstrated that they're still going strong by posting a rare picture of the two of them on social media. Julia Roberts & Her Husband
Julia Roberts shared a beautiful picture with her husband, Daniel Moder, on her Instagram account, which seemed to commemorate both their wedding anniversary and the Fourth of July. Roberts placed her arm around the cameraman in the photo, which was taken at the beach.
Roberts, who dated Matthew Perry before falling in love with Moder, wore heavy sunglasses and an orange baseball hat to protect her eyes from the sun, while Moder had damp hair and a white shirt with thin navy stripes. She captioned the photo with a red, white, and blue heart, "19 years," and added, "Just getting started!" Roberts also tagged her husband's account in the picture and used the hashtag "#conwings" with a winking face emoji.
Hundreds of thousands of people liked the post, and the couple's renowned pals praised it. In May, Rita Wilson, who has been married to Tom Hanks for 33 years, said, "Happy anniversary, happy anniversary! "We'll come to your home!" Roberts said, "must party big on the 20th!"
Jesse Lingard, a soccer star, chimed in with a crimson heart and a heart-eye smiling face.
Since their wedding in 2002, Roberts and Moder have welcomed three children.
In 2004, Roberts gave birth to twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and in 2007, they brought a second boy, Henry, into the world, bringing their family to five.
